Pinnacle delivered a global 2000+ timekeeper law firm’s new Business Intelligence (BI) reporting solution to underpin their ambition for
cross-departmental insights to drive operational efficiency and realise the investment made in their new 3E Practice Management System.
The new solution had to span several individual Practice Management Solutions. Following their Microsoft-first strategy, the data was
to be accommodated on-premises but shipped to Azure for organisation, consolidation and visualisation in PowerBI.
Intricacies to navigate
- Draw together information from disparate systems with differing taxonomies into one global view
- Manage complex currency requirements allowing them to convert from any transactional currency to a common currency of their choice
- Handle complex data level security requirements to ensure that users only have access to information that they are permitted to see
- Collate local matter and client partner allocations across responsibilities and roll them up into a global view
The challenge
The project had to move and organise high volumes of complex data as well as service previously available reports and outputs but in a much more efficient way.
Reaching the heights of success in BI reporting
Working collaboratively with our client’s technically capable internal resources we successfully delivered on the firm’s ambitions. We enhanced their team’s knowledge of the solution to the depth that we were able to hand over the management and ongoing development of the new reporting system.
