Microsoft Teams to Intapp Time Free Connector

Pinnacle has released its new Intapp TEAMS to TIME connector to help firms plug the time recording gaps caused by the rapid shift to Microsoft Teams-based calls and meetings.

But in a novel move, Pinnacle is giving customers two options – to take the software for free as a gift, or to pay based on what they think it’s worth to their firm.

While the Intapp Time Capture Tool has long monitored Skype activity there’s no comparable functionality for Teams; thus risking significant leakage and revenue loss as Skype for Business Online is end of lifed and firms move across to Microsoft Teams.

The new connector uses a Pinnacle-built Microsoft LogicApp and Intapp Integrate to communicate between the two platforms. It can be hooked into a firm’s contacts database or CRM to match all the Teams call data, then links these calls to a suggested client or matter and logs them in the Captured Time window. Fee earners then just need to add narrative and post the entries.

Pinnacle’s Christopher Young comments:

We are developing capabilities across the Microsoft stack, with solutions like Time for Teams as well as projects in the Power Apps and Azure space. Offering something for free helps us promote that but at the same time, this particular product extension has real value and we’re happy if firms want to recognise that.”

The connector is available for all clients of the Intapp Time 7+ or Intapp Time in the Cloud, and standard implementation is less than a day, slightly longer for certain CRM integrations.
